I had no experience looking for a job in a new country, but during our first meeting, I understood that I don't have to worry. When I came to Canada, I didn't have a resume, cover letter or any job search skills. I didn't even have a professional-looking LinkedIn profile. We built them one by one and we generated different versions of these documents as well. She did not just help me with developing these documents, but she helped me to engage in better communication with HR personnel and potential employers. She constantly assisted me to network and attend various local meetings and visit associations by sending me information and connecting me with professionals in my field.

We conducted telephone and in-person mock interviews many times as well. Naz coached me with great patience. I learned everything about applying for a job, developing a resume, cover letters and improving my communication and networking skills.

I met Naz when I was transitioning from a career in trades to the role of Event Coordinator. I had recently built a music festival for non-profit startup, but lacked concrete employment opportunities. I had great vision for what my career and life could be, but I lacked certification and education, and a proven track record. I came to Naz with a dream that was very strong, and a good amount of self-directed experience, but I didn't understand how to convince anyone in the business world to take a chance on advancing my non-traditional career path.
